Japan wins 2019 World Boys Baseball Tournament in Italy

Japan took out the title of Champions at the 2019 World Boys Baseball Tournament held in Nettuno Italy from 2-7th August 2019 after playing against Alameda for the title with a 7-1 win over Alameda.

The tournament got under way after the Opening Ceremony on August 1st held in the courtyard of the historic Nettuno Castle.

Japan progressed through the semi final round with a win against Mexico Rojo after being undefeated in the pool round. Alameda only lost to the Roos Baseball Team in the pool play round before meeting Korea in the semi final with a narrow win to progress to the championship round. Korea and Mexico Rojo played off for the Bronze medal with Korea beating Mexico 7-3

Roos finished in 6th place after a loss to San Diego in the 5th place play off’s.
